A domaine, a chateau, a village house, a villa, an old barn or a wreck, tell us what you want and we'll find it for you. We are moving the property buying services over to our sister site www.frenchpropertyco.com . There is a property search form here The French Property Company Ltd , the owners of the frenchpropertyco.com site, is will be offerring search services in all regions of France, at the moment represented in Languedoc and Aquitaine the company is looking for suitable associates in the other regions of France.. This reflects the demand we have seen, and not been able to cope with, for properties across a wide spectrum of the French regions. When you come out to view the houses you've chosen, we can arrange your accommodation and schedule your house visits with the real estate agents. Most of the agents we work with have an English speaker on their team. But if you would like to be accompanied by one of our in-house team to avoid misunderstandings and to point out any possible problems, this can be arranged at an hourly rate. We have good connections with local mortgage providers and notaires and can help arrange mortgages, the setting up of a French a/c, explain and translate the legal papers and so forth. We also offer an after buying service, ranging from regular visits and check ups on holiday homes to employing local craftsmen on your behalf and supervising building work or repairs. One or two things to bear in mind before splashing out and plunging in ! 1. You should allow 10% on top of the price to cover the legal fees. 2. If you need a mortgage, a 70% of sale price is the maximum you will find in France for a non resident. 3. Unless listed in the sale contract, you will often find, when you take possession of a house in France, that what you regarded as permanent fixtures and fittings the previous owner has taken. Make sure heaters, kitchen cupboards etc. are all listed. |
